I am a member

Hello again,

I am a member of a club, which is the most fun I can think of, Adelmatt WoMen’s Mountain Club. We had our annual hike above the Oeschinensee in Kandersteg. I think we experienced all sorts of weather except rain (very unusual) and the mountains and  the scenery around Oeschinensee was breathtaking but most of all I enjoyed seeing all my dear friends from Bernese Oberland again!

when friends visit

We have had number of visitors this summer and every time it is the nature we love to show and explore together. And  there is lots to see in Ardez itself as well, for example our medieval castle ruins.P1010943P1020928P1020942P1020938P1020914

But sometimes we all end up crafting together!P1020762P1020760P1020749P1020768

Our young visitors were great. They could fingerknit ! They all designed a garment for me to knit. They designed everything themselves, they knew exactly what colors they want and what kind of a pattern to use. Carla wanted a sweater in pink-purple colors with a yoke.IMG_0354IMG_0452IMG_0456

Ella likes the same colors but wanted a scarf.IMG_0466

and Tilia explained in all details how her tunic should look like. IMG_0321

The twins will turn next week seven and Carla has her birthday in a month’s time. I wish you all HAPPY BIRTHDAY and lots of fun with your crafting projects. It was fun with you!

Diavolezza (2973 m) is better known as a ski area but there is a good walk up and the views up in Diavolezza are magnificent.

Living above 1400 meters has it’s side effects as you can see the outside temperature down right! (in the middle of August!!!)IMG_0363IMG_0366 IMG_0367 IMG_0369 IMG_0374

we reached Lej da Diavolezza rather soon and enjoyed the warming sun.IMG_0379 IMG_0381 IMG_0389 IMG_0391

soon  Lej da Diavolezza was behind us and IMG_0397

we also could see Bernina Pass with Lej Nair and Lago Bianco. Lej Nair, the smaller one runs to Inn, Danube and in the end to Black Sea.  Lago Bianco runs to River Po in the south.IMG_0399

and Daniel runs up to the mountainsIMG_0401

Yes, Anton and Oskar loved the hike and the snow again!IMG_0406 IMG_0407 IMG_0408 IMG_0410 IMG_0412

Although the hiking path runs parallel to the cable car and ski lifts….IMG_0414when you are up and see Piz Palü, Bellavista and Piz Bernina, it does not matter any more.IMG_0431 IMG_0425 IMG_0433 IMG_0434

and this time we  did not hike down, oh no. It was knee-saving-time and a ride with that cable car!ticket

have a nice week everybody

I am on the top and could enjoy the surroundingsIMG_0306 IMG_0308 IMG_0311 IMG_0312 walking 2000 hight meters down was not so much fun for my knees but in the end I was rewarded with these beautiful Enzians!IMG_0315I wish you all nice walks too!
